Oban distillery

Oban distillery was established in 1794 and was built before the town. As a result, it is in the middle of the town and so expansion opportunities are limited. It has only two pot stills and is one of the smallest old distilleries in Scotland producing 670,000ℓ per year. The visitor centre was built in 1989. The distillery is best known for its 14-year old, which was launched in 1988. A "Distiller's Edition" bottling, finished in Fino sherry casks is also available.
